International hunger relief organization, Feed The Children is acknowledging the assistance of leading provider of outsourced CRM and contact center services Teleperformance for their substantial contribution to provide aid to Philippine flood victims.
Since 2006, Teleperformance’s altruistic program, Citizen of the World, has been helping some of the world’s most vulnerable infants and children meet their basic survival needs and ultimately reach their individual potential.
The contribution program accumulates individual donations by Teleperformance employees to generate significant sums, which in turn create a global crisis relief fund dedicated to providing immediate necessities during natural disasters. Teleperformance employees also volunteer their time and energy to help with global relief efforts.
And in the case of the flood victims, Teleperformance provided 360,000 meals for children and families suffering as a result of the disaster.
"I am so proud of the Teleperformance team members for contributing so much to such a worthy cause and always working toward Citizen of the World’s goal to help children in need," said Daniel Julien, chairman of the supervisory board of Teleperformance.
To optimize Citizen of the World, Feed The Children was selected as a global charitable partner based on global expertise in aiding infants and children in more than 160 countries worldwide.
"We want to thank Teleperformance for their generous, ongoing support," stated Tony Sellars, spokesperson for Feed The Children. "As a result, hundreds of thousands of meals have been immediately delivered to children and families in need."
In FY 2008, Feed The Children distributed more than 133 million pounds of food and other essentials to children and their families in all 50 states and internationally, supplementing more than 760,000 meals each day.
